Lizzie Reed’s debut EP is due for a release on January 22^nd, with its third single, ‘Always Lovely’, having just dropped. The track is personal and emotive, delivering an almost lullaby-esque feeling in its opening moments before jumping towards a bouncier chorus supported by rhythmic acoustic guitar. She explains that “this song is about insecurity. Feeling like you’re not quite up to it. It’s about obsessing with the idea of perfection and worth - whether that be about your physical appearance, your personality or social identity.” Her upcoming EP, Cubicle, was finished just days before the UK’s lockdown and is full of beautiful tracks. -Dan Peeke
